Did you know?

ZeinPharma® uses only the best birch mannose in its purest form for its D-Mannose products. Many other producers use maize instead as a low-cost alternative. In the case of maize, however, the origin may be genetically modified. Back in 2012, we were one of the first manufacturers to successfully establish pure D-Mannose from birch bark on the German market and we therefore have many years of scientific experience and raw material expertise.

FAQs

What is the difference between D-Mannose from corn and D-Mannose from birch?

D-Mannose from corn:
The fact is that D-mannose from corn is cheaper to buy. But this difference has its price and is associated with considerable quality compromises: D-Mannose from maize is extracted from the maize with the help of chemical solvents and is therefore not entirely unproblematic for the environment. In addition, traces of this solvent can still be found in the end product. With maize there is always the risk that it has been genetically modified and not all products are certified in this regard.

D-Mannose from birch:
The studies on the effectiveness of D-Mannose were carried out with D-mannose from fermented birch bark. As these are scientific studies, we can be 100% sure that D-mannose from birch is a tested substance. D-Mannose, obtained through natural processes such as fermentation (or maceration) of the birch bark, guarantees an unadulterated and natural end product.

Conclusion:
In view of this, birch D-Mannose has a clear advantage:

  • Is gently extracted from birch bark
  • Guaranteed by scientific studies
  • Purely vegetable

What is the difference between D-Mannose Natural and other D-Mannose supplements with cranberry on the market?

There are numerous D-Mannose preparations with the addition of cranberry on the market. However, in most cases this is not an advantage, as it only contains flavorings for the cranberry taste. Often even other flow agents and auxiliaries are used, which has a negative effect on the product quality. We consciously refrain from using such substances, so that we can guarantee that our products contain no chemical additives and are produced gently. We can proudly say that our ZeinPharma Natural D-Mannose is the No. 1 in the pharmacy for pure birch D-Mannose.

Is D-Mannose from birch also appropiate for an allergic person?

D-Mannose from corn is preferable for birch pollen allergies. However, we can tell you with certainty that our D-Mannose from birch is also appropriate for an allergic person. The reason for this is that D-Mannose is a simple sugar and not a protein that can cause allergies.

What are the side effects of D-Mannose?

Sometimes mild gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, gas and diarrhea can occur. However, D-Mannose is generally very well tolerated.

How is D-Mannose correctly dosed?

Experience has shown that the following doses of D-mannose have proven effective:

Adults and children over 14 years:
For short-term use:
Day 1-3: 2,000 mg D-Mannose 3 times a day, increase possible to 1 dose every 2-3 hours
Day 4-5: 2,000 mg D-Mannose twice a day
Day 6-9: 2,000 mg D-Mannose once a day

If taken over a long period:
2,000 mg D-Mannose once a day

Children under 14 years:
For children under 14 years of age, the above dose is halved to 1,000 mg per dose.

Can you take D-Mannose with antibiotics?

Yes, it is possible with 2,000 mg a day.

How long you should take D-Mannose?

For prevention, we recommend taking 2 g of D-Mannose daily for at least 30 days. The experience of our customers who carry out this type of treatment 2-3 times a year is very positive and they have achieved excellent goals.

Can you take D-Mannose permanently?

D-Mannose can be taken until one no longer wants to carry out prophylaxis. Many of our customers have been using this type of intake for years without any side effects.

Is D-Mannose from ZeinPharma® also appropriate for animals?

D-mannose is also well tolerated by horses, dogs and cats.

What dosage I can give my pet?

For example, for a dog weighing 20 kg, D-Mannose can be mixed into the food:

Preventive: Approx. 300 mg mannose daily, that is approx. 0.3 teaspoons.

Increased need: About 300 mg of mannose every 2-3 hours, also about 0.3 teaspoon.
