Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is the most important physiological form of vitamin D in the human organism. The body can form vitamin D3 in the skin by means of sufficient UVB radiation through the sunlight. In food, vitamin D3 is mainly found in fatty fish. However, in the absence of enough exposure to the sun, the concentration is usually not sufficient to cover the vitamin D requirement by the diet alone. Depending on the time of the year, more than 50% of the population (February and March) may suffer from a vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency may be, i.a., a risk factor for bone diseases, Parkinson’s disease and sleep disorders and may have adverse effects on muscle disorders, infections, inflammatory diseases, hypertension, type 1 and type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Normally, vitamin D3 for ordinary food supplements is obtained from lanolin (wool wax). For the Vegan Vitamin D3 by ZeinPharma®, however, the vitamin does not come from lanolin but from algae and is therefore 100% free of animal ingredients. Vitamin D is a group of fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is the physiologically most important representative of this group for humans and plays an essential role in the regulation of the calcium level in the blood and the bone structure. However, vitamin D3 is also sometimes referred to as just vitamin D.

At what time of day should I use vitamin D3 optimally?

The application of the spray is independent of the time of day. So, you can apply the spray when it suits you best. Due to the triglycerides contained in the spray, it is not necessary to apply the vitamin D3 spray together with a meal.

How does the Vegan Vitamin D3 Spray taste?

The spray has a natural, neutral taste without added flavors.

What is the best way to store the Vegan Vitamin D3 Spray?

You can keep the spray at normal room temperature. As long as it is protected from direct sunlight, you can choose the storage location freely.
