Licorice root extract (DGL)
The patented DGL extract, standardized to glabridin and flavonoids, is particularly gentle on the stomach and has been tested in several scientific studies for its tolerability and effect on the digestive tract. In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study with 50 participants, there was a noticeable improvement in general gastrointestinal well-being and typical accompanying symptoms such as an unpleasant feeling of fullness or belching¹ after just 30 days. Another study with 107 people investigated the effect of DGL extract on the composition of the gastric environment: 48% of the participants who took 150 mg daily reported a significantly more positive development after 60 days compared to the placebo group².
