The trace element iron is indispensable for the human organism. As a component of hemoglobin (blood pigment), it makes a significant contribution to properly functioning oxygen transport. Iron is also involved in the formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin and assumes important functions in cell division and in the provision of energy in the cells.
The iron supplied to the body through food intake, for example from animal or vegetable foods, is often not sufficient to cover this need. Our high-dose curry leaf iron capsules with natural vitamin C support the replenishment of iron stores and thus help to reduce tiredness and fatigue.

A strong duo: Vitamin C promotes the absorption capacity and amount of iron

You will therefore find the optimal combination in our curry leaf iron + C capsules.
Vitamin C is not only one of the most important micronutrients for a healthy and strong immune system. At the same time, it promotes the body's own absorption capacity - i.e. the bioavailability - of other active ingredients. It supports the absorption of plant-based iron, which the body naturally recognizes and absorbs better than other sources of iron.

Frequently asked questions

Is plant-based iron better absorbed by the body?

Yes, vegetable iron is better recognized and absorbed by the body than synthetic iron.
The foods richest in iron include animal offal such as liver and red meat. Experts in iron delivery are also oatmeal, pumpkin seeds, spinach, legumes, pistachios, soybeans, sesame and wheat bran.
A typical symptom of empty iron stores is constant exhaustion, rapid fatigue and a general feeling of weakness. Pallor, inability to exercise and an increased susceptibility to colds and infections can also be signs of too little iron. Dark circles under the eyes can also be a possible sign. In this case, do without the espresso after the meal, as coffee and espresso inhibit the absorption of iron.
An iron deficiency can be detected in the blood count. Among other things, the number of red blood cells, the hemoglobin or Hb value provide clues.
Possible side effects include gastrointestinal problems and constipation. Discoloration of the stool can also occur, but this is harmless.
The capsules should be consumed once a day with sufficient water - immediately after a meal, whereby tea or coffee should be avoided for at least one hour after ingestion.

Iron supplements reduce the absorption of certain drugs, such as those containing fluoride, phosphate, copper and zinc. There should be an interval of 2-3 hours between intakes.
Iron also reduces the absorption of bisphosphonates (against osteoporosis) when taken at the same time - a time interval is also necessary here.
The absorption of iron is reduced by gastric acid-binding medication, tea, coffee and milk. In this case, a dose interval of 1-2 hours should be observed.
