Beta-glucans are a group of different high-molecular polysaccharides that are found in particular in the cell walls of cereals, bacteria, fungi and algae. Well-known representatives include cellulose and chitin. The patented beta-glucan Yestimun^® is extracted from the cell walls of brewer's yeasts (Saccharomyces cerevisae) from German breweries. The beta-glucan is cultivated under constant scrutiny for 2 weeks using malt, hops and water, while comparable competitor products undergo a lower quality short fermentation using molasses, artificial vitamins and minerals and other chemicals such as phosphoric acid. Beta-glucans are known to have a beneficial effect on the immune system, although the size and type of beta-glucans play a crucial role¹. They may also have anti-inflammatory effects on muscles associated with exercise. In this respect, the structure of the variants of the active ingredient contained in Yestimun^® is optimal for achieving the positive effects, making Yestimun^® the perfect supplier of beta-glucans.

In addition to beta-glucans, this product also contains vitamin C and zinc. These two nutrients, which are essential for the human organism, have been proven to have a positive effect on the immune system and protect cells from oxidative stress, among other things^2,3.
