Bacopa monnieri is also known as Brahmi and is referred to in German as "Kleines Fettblatt". The water-loving plant is native to some tropical areas, such as Southeast India, and bears white-light blue small flowers that shimmer out between the lush green leaves. The leaves of Bacopa monnieri are rich in many different secondary plant compounds, such as bacosides, luteolin and glycosides. Due to these valuable ingredients, Brahmi has been traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine as a memory tonic for many years, as it is believed that Bacopa monnieri has an effect on the central nervous system1,2.
In modern science, Bacopa monnieri is therefore the focus of many studies to assess its potential effects. For example, in some scientific studies specifically on the premium brand raw material BaCognize® used by us, a positive effect of Brahmi on mental well-being, attention and memory has already been observed2,3,4,5. The natural Bacopa monnieri extract of BaCognize® is standardized to 12 % Bacopa glycosides (HPLC-tested) and thus contains 36 mg of the valuable secondary plant compounds per recommended daily dose.
Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) is a vitamin from the B-complex and thus an organic compound that the body needs for vital functions. As a building block for the synthesis of coenzyme A, it is involved in many chemical reactions in the body. Vitamin B5 makes an important contribution to the maintenance of health: among other things, it helps reduce symptoms of fatigue and contributes to healthy mental performance.
