The ashwagandha root (Whitania somnifera) is also known as the sleep berry, winter cherry or Indian ginseng and means ”smell of the horse" in English. Can I open the capsules?

What is the optimal time of day to use the capsules?

What is the difference between normal Ashwagandha powder and ZeinPharma® KSM-66 Ashwagandha extract powder?

It is often assumed that Ashwagandha in any capsules is equivalent to an extract. This assumption, which is quite reasonable, is exploited by vendors who simply fill capsules with Ashwagandha root powder and add a low-quality leaf powder extract blend. The powder is then sold as 10 % extract. However, these capsules are far from a high-quality extract!

An Ashwagandha extract, as found in our product as well as in most published studies, is understood to be the concentration of all water-soluble components, as the root powder is dissolved to make this extract and the water-soluble components are subsequently dried. !

Simple powder, on the other hand, is essentially just the dried and ground plant or root, lacking a proper spectrum of active ingredients. Milk contains fat, which serves as a carrier for the fat-soluble components that are released from the root during the extraction process. The water-soluble components are extracted using the water used in the process. The combination of water and milk thus enables a complete extraction of all relevant components of the Ashwagandha extract. Additionally, milk can specifically help reduce the bitterness of Ashwagandha, making it more palatable and easier to consume even without a capsule
